Our goal in measuring and analyzing EMS trends is to identify areas for growth: both where it is needed and where it is succeeding at improving operations. The 2023 EMS Trend Survey identified providers鈥� stress levels are at an all-time high. When agencies and providers are feeling the brunt of staffing challenges in levels that have nearly half of providers (45%) considering leaving EMS, and 97% of agencies struggling with turnover 鈥� it鈥檚 time to change the way we deliver EMS.
